When you visit Mama – Asian Food Galore!

Hey there!  Missed you all.  It’s been a while, but if you follow me on Instagram (minceandmingleblog), then you probably saw that I was in Nor Cal a couple of months ago. I was on a business trip and was lucky enough to be able to tote the C-Man along with me.  It worked out to be great timing because I had a ticket that needed to be used and I was craving some Asian food. And what better way to get some Asian food, then from your Asian Mom?!?!?!  Well, my friends….that is the only way.  It’s been a few months since we’ve seen each other, so it was great to be able to catch up as well.

The C-Man got pretty lucky and I guess I did too because I bought him a portable DVD player and it worked like a charm.  This was the best he’s ever done traveling.  Super entertained without me even having to try. High-5 to me on that one!

One of C-Man’s favorite things to do when he’s at Grandma and Grandpa’s is deer spotting.  There was a new batch of fawn sprouting up all over the place and the house across the street is always loaded with them.  It was really fun to hear, “MAMA!  Baby deer!” sporadically throughout the day.  The ‘rents have also been busy working away at the backyard, putting in C-Man’s new entertainment…. the waterfall.  Looking good, I might say.

Not Asian food but it was pretty damn tasty! Crab and Spinach Omelette.

I didn’t know exactly what Asian food I wanted so my Mom just whipped up a bunch of stuff and said, “It’s your favorite!”  I’ve never even had some of the food before, but you know what?  It was pretty good.  My Mom was so cute too.  She was styling all of the food so that it would be camera ready.  I think she did a pretty good job too.  Maybe she’ll teach me how to make them one day so I can share them with you all.  Until next time….
